A product is not a line on an invoice and not an SKU: it is the individual unit, identified by its GTIN and its serial, and that is the grain the capture spine records custody at. You will see your own product move, down to the item, with a party on every link.
The serialized unit is the atom of the whole system. Its commissioning, its packing into a case, its shipping and receiving are each an event at the serial, so the question ‘where is this exact one’ has an answer that does not depend on inferring it from an order.
Every event carries the CBV 2.0 §8.9 event hash with GS1 Digital Link normalization, so the same unit's history is stable across every system that records it.
