Pallets.
A pallet is a load with its own identity, an SSCC, and a claim about the units it carries. visibility.cloud is built to record the aggregation and the custody, so you can ask what was on a pallet when it crossed a dock and who held it on the way.
Aggregation is the association between the load and its contents, recorded as an event: these serials were packed onto this SSCC at this time. When the pallet is broken down, that is an event too, so the claim about its contents is never silently stale.
The load moves through carriers and cross-docks where custody is measured in hours; the spine records the read point, the time, the business step and the attested observer at each seam — the party at every hop is derived at read time from grant chains, never stamped.
